Restoration Project
The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum facility was totally devastated during hurricane Katrina. Several of the displays, exhibits, artifacts and memorabilia were also virtually destroyed.
An approximate $8.0 million is a conservative estimate to reconstruct some of the exhibits and displays. The lost authentic artifacts and memorabilia were priceless.
The organization is currently planning to reconstruct the historical museum with new exciting amenities that will make this project the marque attraction of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
